An invitation from Tom Baldrige, President & CEO of the Lancaster Chamber
I write with an invitation. And an idea.
On Wednesday, September 22, the Lancaster Chamber will be hosting our 149th Annual Dinner Experience at Clipper Magazine Stadium. As always, it will be an evening of networking, recognition, learning and celebration. And we can’t wait to host the community in a festive and safe environment.
This year, however, our Annual Dinner will be different; because this year has been different. And it’s that difference that we invite you to be a part of.
This year we’ve added time for networking, created a cocktail party-esque atmosphere, lowered the price, hired Mama Tried to keep the energy up, and planned a finale full of fireworks. And we’ve done this to encourage companies to send their teams to the event as a “Thank You” for all the hard work that our workforce has undertaken over the last 18 months. Akin to a company picnic, this year’s Annual Dinner Experience is Lancaster County’s company picnic!
Adding to this team approach is our featured speaker, Adam Grant, a best-selling author, organizational psychologist and Wharton professor, who will be delivering a message that is best heard by “teams” and best followed-up on when groups of your employees learn from this incredible thought leader. (If you don’t know who Adam Grant is, do a quick Google search or give him a “like” on social media – I am very confident you will like what you hear and read!). You can also explore his website to learn more.
To further invite the team approach, we created group ticket discounts. The pricing is as follows:
- Purchase 5 – 9 tickets – $139 per ticket
- Purchase 10 – 19 tickets – $134 per ticket
- 20+ tickets – $124 per ticket
To purchase group tickets – email register@lancasterchamber.com! (Individual Tickets are $149 each).
In short, we hope to see you –and your team!—on September 22, where we look forward to celebrating and thanking you, and in turn, your workforce, for all you’ve done these past 18 months.

Sincerely,
Tom
P.S. – Please know it is our intent to continue to promote CDC recommendations as guidance for the evening. We are continuing to evaluate the ever-changing COVID-19 landscape to ensure your safety is priority.
