Moravian University Brings Customized Business-Education Partnerships to Lancaster Theological Seminary
by Stephanie O’Hara, Assistant Director of Business Development, Office of University Partnerships, Moravian University
In 2021, Moravian Theological Seminary in Bethlehem, PA, and Lancaster Theological Seminary (LTS) began the process of combining to strengthen both institutions with a shared vision, increased program offerings, and campus upgrades in Lancaster.
Through the partnership, Moravian Seminary and Lancaster Seminary are strengthened by the cooperative engagement of faculty, staff, and students in providing graduate theological education.
This combination also introduces Moravian University to the historic Lancaster Theological Seminary campus and provides a unique opportunity to serve both the Susquehanna Valley residential and business communities in meaningful ways.
For residents, Moravian University offers online graduate business and adult degree completion programs. In addition, a lounge space is opening in the LTS library this Fall as a flexible space for both Lancaster and Moravian students to network, attend online classes, and innovate. Chris D’Imperio, Assistant Director of Moravian-Lancaster and Assistant Director of Graduate Business Programs will provide students with a single-point-of-contact and student-centered support.
Stephanie O’Hara, Assistant Director of Business Development is working with the local business community to craft customized education partnerships. The mission is “to cultivate rich education solutions and high-impact practice in the spirit of shared growth.”
While corporate partnerships come in many, customizable forms, most of our work focuses on:
- Employee acquisition & retention – tuition discounts, degree completion, and more
- Workforce upskilling – customized on-site training, tailor-made education certificates
- Pipeline to employment – internships, coops, and career fairs
- Consultation projects – research, data analysis, start-up business plans, and more
